Private Lessons
A private lesson is 50 minutes of one-on-one personalized instruction. Your instructor will cover everything from horsemanship, to grooming, to safety procedures, and proper horse care. A private one-on-one lesson costs $40.00 for a 50 minutes. Private lessons package: Buy 9 lessons get one FREE!
Group Lessons
A group lesson is a 50-minute lesson conducted with two or three other riders participating in the lesson at the same time. There are many positives to a group lesson. Students can have added fun with other participates, positive feedback from peers, and teamwork-building skills. However, group lessons are not for everyone; --skill level and expertise of horsemanship must be assessed before admittance to a group lesson is approved. 50 minute group lesson costs $40.00 per each person in the group.
Lead-line Lesson
A lead-line lesson is a 30-minute lesson during which the horse is lead by the instructor. This type of lesson is for students who have not yet mastered control of their horses or balance while riding. This is the safest way to perfect these skills while the horse is under the complete control of the instructor. At Freeway Farms we recommend this type of lesson for students 6 years and under until their skill level can be increased and their confidence built. A 30-minute lead-line lesson costs $35.00 for the one-half hour.
Trail Riding
Here at Freeway Farms we love to go out on the open trail. We offer trail riding around the Bay Area. The beautiful Mount Diablo is one of our favorite destinations. We offer a varying selection of rides, rated by the duration and difficulty of the ride. Depending on the trail ride and number of participants, a rate will be quoted by the staff at Freeway Farms. Trail riding rates run from $55.00 to $95.00 per rider with a 3-hour maximum.
Basic Horse Care
Basic Horse Care training is offered at Freeway Farms for beginners and experts alike. We cover areas such as grooming, feed, hoof care, dental care, and health care of horses. Live horse demonstrations are performed. Training of basic horse care can be done in a half-day clinic or incorporated into the lesson program of the student. A half-day clinic for basic horse care is $45.00 per person with a 5-person minimum.
Leasing and Half Leasing
Here at Freeway Farms we have several leasing options. We have many horses that are available for lease depending on level of riding expertise. Full Lease is 3 days a week for $400 per month. Half Lease is 2 days a week for $200 per month. Includes 1 lesson per week! Extra lessons can be purchased.
Day Camps and Summer Camps
Get your space reserved for 2009 Summer Camps now! Freeway Farms offers five-day camps and single-day camps for youth. Students have fun learning about horses, riding, creating craft projects, and participating in a photo shoot to save the memories. Camps usually run from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm daily and students are required to bring a bag lunch. Single day camps are $150.00 per student and five-day camps are $525.00 per student. Birthday Parties
Have your child’s dream come true with an amazing horse fairy tale party!
We offer a wide variety of party plans varying from group riding lessons to horse adventures with mini horse dress up and finger painting on the side of a live horse. Bring your own refreshments and we supply the cutlery and plates. Minimum of five children to participate with party plans starting at $300.00.
